It was important that this Peakhurst Heights bathroom renovation was sympathetic to the architectural styling of the client’s mid-century home.
The owners of this Peakhurst Heights property wanted their bathroom renovation to feature vertical lines and curves as a nod to the home’s mid-century heritage.
To achieve this, terrazzo bathroom floor tiles continued halfway up all walls to the height of the ledge on the shower wall. Above this, satin white subways tiles continued to the ceiling. This tiling effect creates textured layers that create a sense of style and interest.
The vanity and shaving cabinet from Timberline’s Sutherland House Collection by Shayna Blaze was chosen by the customer due to their curves. Complimenting this was were the dark edges of the mirrors, making them a standout feature of the bathroom.
The fluted glass shower screen, with a curved top, reflects the vertically laid subway wall tiles and adds extra privacy. The fluted glass also helps hide shower and haircare products from view.
The Fienza stone bath is glorious and was paired with a freestanding bath spout.
A hint of gold in the tapware adds elegance while the heated towel ladder was selected to blend in rather than stand out.
